EXPENSIVE.&#8221;][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 2018 tax reform established a gradual imposition of the tax, but due to the effects of the pandemic, an exemption was granted until 2021 to mitigate the damages in the sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From September onwards, building or remodeling your house or any other structure will be more expensive due to the application of the full 13% VAT rate on construction services.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Specifically, this measure will impact the following services, as long as they are provided to projects registered and\/or approved by the Federated College of Engineers and Architects of Costa Rica (CFIA):<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<div class=\"elegant-list-box-container\"><div class=\"elegant-list-box-title elegant-align-left\" style=\"color:#333333;font-size:17px;line-height:20.4px;margin-bottom:-28.9px;\"><span
