HISTORY
Venegas, Álvarez, and Associates
In February 1973, Gerardo Venegas and Francisco Álvarez founded the external auditing firm Venegas, Álvarez, and Associates in Cuesta de Moras, San José, Costa Rica.
Eligible Auditors for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB)
The firm was included in the list of eligible auditors for the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) in February 1973.
Venegas, Pizarro, Ugarte, and Associates
In July 1982, Gerardo Venegas, along with Eithel Pizarro and Albán Ugarte, established Venegas, Pizarro, Ugarte, and Associates in Barrio Amón, San José. The firm is a member of BDO International.
Change of International Representation
In May 1995, Venegas, Pizarro, Ugarte, and Associates transitioned to represent HLB International.
Venegas and Associates
In February 2003, Gerardo Venegas, along with his daughter, Nydia Venegas, continued their operations under the name HLB Venegas and Associates and moved their office to Rohrmoser, Pavas.
Registration as Eligible Auditors with “CONASSIF”
In September 2005, the firm Venegas and Associates was registered in the Eligible Auditors Registry of the National Registry of Securities and Intermediaries of SUGEF, SUGEVAL, SUPEN, and SUGESE.
Nexia International
In May 2014, Venegas and Associates ended their previous representation and joined the international network of firms Nexia International.
Reference List for Bread for the World (BFDW)
In October 2016, the firm was included in the reference list of auditing firms for Costa Rica by the humanitarian organization Bread for the World (BFDW).
